“After the battle of the Hoover Dam, the Courier traveled to the Capital Wasteland to discover a very old ghoul named Gob, and heard all about someone known as the Lone Wanderer. The Courier explored the Capital Wasteland and discovered the large impact the Lone Wanderer had made, and tried to spread her story…”
“Cass actually does have a sad backstory. Her father had walked out when she was little, her mother died of illness as a teenager, and then had her caravan, her life’s work, completely destroyed. She does get upset over these events, but drowns them in alcohol as a supressor. She uses both sex and alcohol as a coping mechanism on top on personal pleasure.”
“The Courier went into the final battle for Independent Vegas, clad in his duster, with his 8 companions by his side. Both Raul and Lily died, Raul took a bullet for Cass as she reminded him of Rafaela and Claudia, and Lily died protecting Boone and Arcade, mistaking them for her grandchildren.”
“After many years of fighting by the Lone Wanderer’s side, The Lone Wanderer is killed in a freak accident and Dogmeat stays by the Lone Wanderer’s body. He is captured by scientists and is transformed into the cyber-dog, Rex. He is taken to The King in New Vegas and he becomes his new owner. Memories of his past life as Dogmeat haunt him for the rest of his life, but a similar life awaits him when the Courier enters the picture.”
“Dean Domino had numerous run-ins with the rat pack in his pre-war days, and hated all of them with an intense passion. His main rival, though, was Dean Martin… the two actually came to physical blows numerous times. He said he was “stealing his gimmick”.”
“Manny’s favourite food of all time is noodles.”
“By being constantly tormented by his peers, young and bullied Benny became focused on himself and the pursuit of perfection in his adult years. That is why he does not like others talking or harping on years gone by, because they were not kind to him.”
“The Courier started dating Sarah Weintraub soon after arriving on the strip. Eventually, he helped her get over her fear of the outside, and got her to leave the hotel whenever it wasn’t necessary for her to be around. She then regularly accompanied the Courier around the Strip and Freeside whenever he was around (he wouldn’t allow her to go out into the Wasteland, no matter how much she wanted to, fearing for her safety). She eventually hired help for Vault 21 so she didn’t have to be in the hotel very often, and spent a lot of her time in the Lucky 38 with the Courier and his companions, listening to their stories.
When the Courier returned from the Divide, he asked Sarah to marry him. She accepted, and they got married the day after the Second Battle of Hoover Dam.”
Slight spoiler: ”If you go the more dark route as the courier in New Vegas as well as getting ED-E upgraded by the Brotherhood of Steel, I see the darker courier using the original ED-E to take over the small Army of Duraframe Eyebots created by the BoS, and the resulting army to take over the Mojave.”
“As my Courier recruited Arcade Gannon through the Confirmed Bachelor perk, I now believe that Arcade and Alex Richards were ex-lovers who met when Arcade was training to become a doctor in the NCR/Follower’s encampment. The two later split apart due to differing ideologies, and the only reason Richards calls the Courier “Little buttercup,” and other such pet names is to make Arcade jealous.”
